Getting to the crossroads of mid-life, Bonnie stopped for a minute to take stock of her life. And she realized that it was time to get healthy or continue down the path of self-neglect.

This is whole Bonnie’s stages of her story overcoming her mid-life crisis… weight.

Stage 1: She had babies and she fed herself. She was very good to herself, and then she went, uuumph!

She is not evevn five feet, so her normal weight should be about 100 pounds. When she had her first child she went to 130 pounds. Then with the next child she went to 150 pounds. With each pregnancy she worked her way back to 115 pounds, but it took up three years to get there.

Stage 2: When she became middle aged she thought there were two ways to go: get fat or get fit.

When you are woman mid 40s-50s, you either go this way or that way. You either address the issue that your biological body is changing and has changed forever, or you ignore it and you can be an overweight, unhappy, middle aged woman.

Stage 3: Being naturalist, she looked for a natural way to help with weight loss.

A herb called Hoodia worked for her, but she also learned that she needs to eat. You can never loose weight by not eating! You have to eat and you have to eat smart.

Stage 4: Any movement counts!

Any movement counts so the last part that she did for herself as a woman is dance. It makes her feel sensual and this is important to her.

Stage 5: She stripped down and looked herself over.

She looks what is beautiful. There are more lovely things happening in a woman’s body than there are things that are horrible.

Now, having losing 30 pounds, she feels better and more youthful than she did when she was young. And this was the marvelous time of her life! [via]
