According to Dr. David Flum of university of Washington, defining ideal body weight is a reach and even the BMI or body mass index isn’t the answer. BMI is a measure of weight to height and doesn’t figure whether that weight is, say more muscle than fat.

Another issue is that men tent to gain more muscle than women which is both genetic and societal.

So, its really hard to tell who’s healthy thin and not healthy thin. Flum said that there are two genetic versions of obesity: the healthy fat or obese person is off medication and doing well and the other one is when people are at greater risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. The bottom line is, everyone who is fat is going to die from obesity.

Egg Diet

Egg DietAccording to AEB, overweight women made eggs part of breakfast on a restricted diet lost more weight in eight weeks than those who had bagels at breakfast.

In the study funded by American Egg Board and performed by Nikhil Dhurandhar at Lousiana State University, 160 overweight or obese women were broken in four groups. One special diet group had two eggs as part of breakfast; the other had a bagel instead, though they were the same in calories.

Be A Walker

Flinn, 48, lives in Cape Coral, Fla., 824 miles from the Tennessee town where she and her husband in 2006 had bought propertyon the lake for future development. Although at first, she thought that there’s no way she can walk to Dandridge, Tennessee for she’s fat. But she has to do it and two weeks later, she was out walking.

Flinn began to walk on June 5, sixty-six days later, she lost 35 pounds, and she arrived at Dandridge. She said that she wants to motivate people, challenge and inspire them.

Careful Work Out

Harvard psychologist Ellen Langer and Alia J. Crum, a student were   actually able to lower women’s blood pressure shave pounds off their bodies and improve their body-fat and waist to hip ratios. And how did they do that? Self-awareness, it seems, was the women’s elliptical trainer.

To start with their study, Langer and Crum quizzed 84 maids at even carefully matched hotels about how much exercise they got. The two took several measures of the women’s basic fitness levels, which indicated that they, indeed, had the poor health basically sedentary people. They set different activities and specifics for their study.

Her own daughter used to work in the corporate environment. She had a problem saying no because she feared that her boss will perceive her as being a problem and will not hesitate to replace her.
